Samsung has announced that the “affordable little brother” of the Samsung Galaxy S II is coming - in the shape of the Galaxy Z.
Spotted on the website of Swedish telco Tre (Sweden’s version of Three), the Galaxy Z is up for pre-order now costing 3995 SEK or around £400. The Galaxy Z sports a 4.2in LCD screen boasting Samsung’s Super Clear technology. The phone will be powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, believed to be Nvidia’s Tegra 2.
Like the Galaxy S II, the Galaxy Z will run Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), and features Wi-Fi, GPS, FM Radio, 5MP camera with LED flash, 4x zoom and HD video recording support, 8GB internal memory, microSD card slot up to 32GB.
The Galaxy Z is sure to appeal to those who don’t want to break the bank with the high-end Galaxy S II, however with the latter costing only £100 more we’re not sure the saving is going to be enough to tempt a lot of people to purchase the Z.
We’re still waiting to hear if and when the Galaxy Z is going to be coming to the UK and at what price but we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we do.
