After endless rumours and speculation, Samsung’s goliathan tablet is finally official.
Samsung has today launched the Samsung Galaxy View, an 18.4-inch Android tablet.
The device, which is 1.5x the diameter of the iPad Pro, has been designed “with a video-centric interface in mind”, according to Samsung.
The Samsung Galaxy View has an 18.4-inch Full HD display, and features a 1.6GHz octa-core processor.
It also boasts 2GB of RAM, 32/64GB storage options, and a microSD slot for memory expansion.
Samsung reckons the Galaxy View is good for 8.5 hours of video playback, courtesy of a 5,700mAh lithium-ion cell.
“At Samsung, we are committed to bring our consumers the best mobile experience,” says JK Shin, Samsung’s CEO.
Shin continues: “We are very excited to introduce the new Galaxy View which provides an entirely new way of consuming mobile video and entertainment.”
The device also features two 4W stereo speakers, Bluetooth 4.1 support, a 2.1-megapixel camera, and 4G/LTE connectivity.
