Following the Galaxy Note 7 debacle, you sense Samsung needs a home run with its next major release, the Samsung Galaxy S8.
If this wild rumour of a spec sheet comes to fruition early next year all memories of the Note 7’s battery issues could be consigned to mobile history.

We’re taking this with a gigantic punch of salt, but according to the specs published by TechUpdate the handset would feature a 4K display and an 8-core 3.2Ghz Snapdragon processor with 6GB of RAM.
The handset will also have a gigantic 30-megapixel sensor on the back of the device and a 9-megapixel front-facing selfie cam.
As well as that, there’d be a built-in mini projector according to the specs first published on Weibo. There’d also be a gigantic 4,200mAh battery pack, if the outlandish spec sheet is to be believed.
Samsung is expected to unveil the phone at the MWC 2017 expo in Barcelona next February.
With a lukewarm reception afforded to the iPhone 7 thus far, there’s an opportunity for Samsung to regain some of the ground lost through the Note 7 debacle. A spec jump of this magnitude seems a little bit hard to envision though.
Do you still have faith in Samsung despite the battery issues suffered by the Note 7?
