Samsung Galaxy S7 Active leaked… by Samsung

Samsung will once again release an Active version of its flagship Galaxy handset.

The existence of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active has been confirmed by its appearance in an Android app made by Samsung (via SamMobile).

The Samsung Level app, available from the Google Play Store, features a list of supported devices and the S7 Active is among them.

The rough and tumble waterproof handset last appeared with the Galaxy S6 Active (pictured) last year with physical buttons rather than soft keys.

This year, Samsung added water and dust resistance to the main Galaxy S7 devices, somewhat undermining the need for an Active variant.

However, the device has a more ruggedised, military-grade design and feel compared and is often fitted with a longer lasting battery.

When the firm plans to release the new device remains to be be seen, but last year it arrived in June.

If you’re waiting on a top-end handset to suit your active lifestyle, then it may be worth holding out a month or two to see exactly what Samsung has in store for this year’s Active.
