Samsung will pre-install just two of its own apps on the Galaxy S6, according to new reports on Wednesday.
Following previous hints the firm may cut back on its home-brewed apps in order to speed up the experience, SamMobile claims to know exactly which of those apps will be retained.
The blog claims only S Voice and S Health will be available out of the box with the rest of Samsung’s suite confined to the Galaxy Apps store (also pre-installed)
Beyond those three and the standard suite of Google apps, there’ll only be five other apps pre-loaded onto the Galaxy S6, according to the report.
The lucky five are Facebook, WhatsApp, Skype, Microsoft One Note and OneDrive. So two from Facebook and three from Microsoft, the latter as part of a deal with the software giant.
The report also reiterates previous speculation Samsung plans to lessen the influence of its TouchWiz software over the Android interface. It’ll be “leaner and faster” according to SamMobile.
