Samsung Galaxy S6 pictured alongside Galaxy S6 Edge

Images seemingly showing the Samsung Galaxy S6 alongside the more ambitious Galaxy S6 Edge have appeared online.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 leaks are coming thick and fast now that we're just a few days away from launch. This latest one could be the best yet.

As you can see from the above image, which appeared on the xda-developers forum, we have our first clear(ish) view of the two new Samsung Galaxy S6 handsets side by side.

Nearest to the camera appears to be the vanilla Samsung Galaxy S6, with its more traditional design. Is that a metal rim we can see? Looks like it, if every single leak and claim about the phone is to be believed.

To the left of this we see what people are referring to as the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. It appears to be a version of the new handset with an innovative wrap-around display.

As you can see, the usual side bezels have been lessened and recessed, with the glass screen appearing to drop off the side of the device until it meets the rear panel. The picture shows just how skinny that makes the phone.

What's most interesting to note here is that the exaggerated Galaxy Note Edge effect doesn't appear to have been replicated here, which probably means that the S6 Edge's home screen will operate as normal. There may be be no quirky secondary function bar or side-on notification on the side of the phone, in other words.

There's also a picture from the same source of the rear of the two devices (see below), which hints at a glossy - possibly glass - coating.

Again, we'll know more this Sunday, March 1, when Samsung finally puts us out of our misery.
