Pretty much any smartphone manufacturer worth its salt makes bold claims concerning its latest flagship product's fast-charging capabilities.
Indeed, when one doesn't (like the OnePlus 2), it stands out as unusual.
But what really is the fastest-charging phone around? Tom's Guide decided to find out, and the results are interesting.
The fastest phone off the mark turned out to be the Asus Zenfone 2, which managed to attain a 17 percent charge in just five minutes, and a 32 percent charge in 15 minutes.
To provide a popular phone for comparison, the iPhone 6 managed six percent and 20 percent respectively.
However, the Samsung Galaxy S6 drew level at the 30 minute mark, with both phones hitting an impressive 53 percent.
After that it was all Samsung, as the S6 hit 80 percent in 48 minutes and a full charge in one hour and 22 minutes. A notable mention should go to the LG G4 for sneaking into second place in that latter full-charge category with a time of one hour and 36 minutes.
So there you have it. If you're someone who has to snatch their smartphone charging opportunities when they can, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Asus Zenphone 2 should be up for serious consideration.
