Further specs for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 have leaked online, seemingly confirming earlier details like a 2K display.
This is far from the first time we’ve heard rumoured Galaxy S5 specs, but a fresh batch provide additional support for the 2014 flagship’s features.
According to a Phone Arena source, the Galaxy S5 will come with a 2K QHD (1440 x 2560p) display powered by a 2,900mAh battery. This would build on the 2,600mAh battery and full 1080p HD display of the Samsung Galaxy S4.
Previous rumours suggested that the 2,900mAh Galaxy S5 battery will feature rapid charge technology, allowing it to be totally recharged in less than two hours.
The new leak suggest the S5 will have a 20-megapixel rear camera that could match the Sony Xperia Z1. This differs from the previous specs leaks that suggest the S5 will have a 16-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL rear camera.
The rumoured 20-megapixel camera is also tipped to feature 4K video recording and be able to snap pictures simultaneously as you record.
Also, the source claims the S5 will feature a “state of the art iris sensor and wide range of health accessories.”
Earlier this month, the S5 was tipped to include advanced head tracking gesture controls, which would allow you to control the smartphone with movements of your head.
It seems the Samsung Galaxy S5 could allow you to unlock it with an in-built iris scanner as well as authorise services. It’s possible that the eye-scanner would work in the same way as the Touch ID fingerprint scanner in the iPhone 5S.
The source also suggests the Samsung Galaxy S5 will not feature a metal body, as mentioned in some other rumours.
Other Samsung Galaxy S5 rumours include a 5.25-inch display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM and Android 4.4 KitKat.
