Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini should come with 4.47-inch display

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini should come with a 4.47-inch display according to an import database.

A new listing on the Indian import/export site Zauba for the Galaxy S5 Mini with model number SM-G800 suggests the device will come with a rather large 4.47-inch screen.

Earlier this month a listing for the smaller, lower specced version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 appeared on Samsung Finland and now we have some more confirmation on the device’s specs sheet.

If this information is correct, we could see the Galaxy S5 Mini being quite the beast, despite its name.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini had a 4.3-inch display and the rumoured 4.47-inch display for the S5 Mini would make it bigger than its predecessor and a few other big phones on the market, including the 4-inch iPhone 5S.

The S5 itself has a 5.01-inch display with a full 1080p resolution, but the S5 Mini will only be able to offer a 720p HD Super AMOLED panel.

Other rumoured specs for the Galaxy S5 Mini include a quad-core Snapdragon processor with 1.5GB of RAM, 2100mAh battery and 16GB of internal storage.

It is expected to feature an 8-megapixel rear camera coupled with a 2-megapixel front-facing sensor and microSD support.

Apparently the S5 Mini will feature the same IP67 water and dust resistant certification as its flagship brother, but there’s no word as to whether it’ll pack the fingerprint or heart rate sensors as well.

Samsung has already launched the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom as a camera-centric variant of the Galaxy S5 and there’s no word as to when the Mini will make an official appearance.
