Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom LTE edition launches in Europe

Samsung has announced that a 4G LTE edition of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom is now available in Europe.

Tying in with yesterday’s launch of the Vodafone and O2 4G LTE networks in the UK, the Galaxy S4 Zoom can now be purchased to run the superfast mobile broadband.

“The introduction of LTE capabilities to the Galaxy S4 Zoom demonstrates our commitment to providing customers with the best possible product on the market”, said Young Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of Samsung Europe Telecommunications Operation. “Today’s consumers place great importance on being connected with their world, anywhere at anytime, a need which is catered for with the LTE technology of the latest Galaxy S4 Zoom.”

Samsung has yet to reveal any pricing details for the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom LTE Edition, but it is available in the UK and the rest of Europe from today.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom Features
Samsung’s camera-centric version of the Galaxy S4, the Zoom focuses on a 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor in the rear camera with 10x optical zoom. It has optical image stabilisation and a 24-240mm lens at F/3.1-F/6.3, and offers an ISO range from 100 to 3200.

An integrated Xenon flash is also included in the rear and is complemented by a 1.9-megapixel snapper up front.

The Zoom Ring lens interface is also the centrepiece of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom, allowing users to quickly access the camera function with a twist of the lens.

Camera specs aside, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom has a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display with an underwhelming 960 x 540p resolution. With a 1.5GHz dual-processor under the hood and 1.5GB of RAM, there’s a 2330mAh battery and 8GB of internal storage too. The latter is expandable via microSD card though, useful for all those photographs.
