With just weeks to go until the Samsung Galaxy S4 release date, latest reports have suggested the South Korean manufacturer will launch four Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini variants later this year.
Having backed up the Samsung Galaxy S3 with a Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini release a couple of months later, the iPhone 5 and HTC One rival looks set to receive the same treatment, with latest reports suggesting an upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini launch will see four handset variations land.
Reportedly leaked via the official Samsung website before being splashed across Twitter, the claimed quad of Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini handsets will see a standard model, reportedly handed the model number GT-I9190, line up alongside a 4G compatible option, the GT-I9195.
On top of this, the newly leaked Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini details have revealed that a China specific model (GT-I9198), and a dual-SIM variant (GT-I9192) will also be made available.
Although Samsung has yet to formally acknowledge the existence of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, it is widely expected that the device will be formally unveiled following the April 26 Samsung Galaxy S4 UK release date, playing host to a scaled-down take on the Galaxy S4 form factor with a heavily reduced spec and more affordable price tag.
Whilst we were less than enraptured with the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini, a device we felt was slightly overpriced for a stylish handset with a middling collection of innards, recent Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini rumours have suggested the device will be a stronger offering.
Once again targeting the mid-market user, claimed Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini specs have seen the handset tipped to play host to a 1.6GHz dual-core processor alongside Google’s latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OD and a Super AMOLED qHD display of the 4.3-inch variety.
With the Samsung Galaxy S4 initially grabbing consumers’ attentions following its billing as the world’s most powerful handset, many users have been left disappointed as, less than a week after being formally unveiled, the company confirmed that UK models of the device will feature a 1.9GHz quad-core CPU, not the 1.6GHz eight-core offering set to hit other markets.
