The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mega has leaked as yet another spinoff set to milk the Samsung Galaxy S4 cash cow dry.
With word of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Activ, Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom having already leaked online, Samsung looks set to produce yet another bastardised rendition of its flagship phone, with the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mega appearing via one of the company’s official apps.
Reportedly appearing in the ‘What’s New’ section of the Samsung WatchOn application, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mega has been listed ahead of the handset’s official confirmation, with no further details on the handset’s specification or feature’s list having yet to appear.
While the recent unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 confirmed a new sub brand for the heavily flaunted Galaxy range, it appears that the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mega will tie in the two handset lines, bringing the oversized nature of the Mega to the S4 design principles.
Suggesting the handset will launch in the near future, the Samsung WatchOn update confirmed the latest software patch had “added support for the upcoming S4 Mega, S4 Mini and S4 Active.
The latest in a long line of Samsung Galaxy S4 themed handset to be rumoured for release, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom is expected to add a 16-megapixel rear-mounted camera with optical zoom to the mix, while the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active has been tipped as a water and dustproof offering akin to the Sony Xperia Z.
Seemingly set to follow-on from last year’s Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini, the leaked Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is said to feature a reduced 4-inch form factor, with a reduced arrange of specs helping the compact handset line up with a more wallet-friendly price tag.
