Images of the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy S4 appear to have been leaked onto a Chinese forum.

The images, which were uploaded by a user of Chinese web forum 52Samsung, appear to show the follow-up to the Samsung Galaxy S3 in some detail. It suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will follow the design cues of its predecessor, with a stretched out home button and a glossy, plasticy back.

Labelled the GT-I9502, the device also sports a 5-inch Full HD (1080p) display, which would tally with what everyone's expecting of the Samsung Galaxy S4 when it's launched on March 14.

Based on a snap of the configuration screen, the device appears to be running on Samsung's next-generation Exynos Octa 5410 CPU, which is backed by a PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU and 2GB of RAM. Again, this fits in with the rumoured specs for the Samsung Galaxy S4.

It appears to be running on Android 4.2.1, which is also known as Jelly Bean.

It's possible that this device is one of a handful of prototype devices given to Samsung's partners for testing purposes, and so may not be representative of the final design. Samsung did something similar with the Samsung Galaxy S3 last year.

And, of course, it could all be a big hoax. With only three days to go until the Samsung Galaxy S4 is revealed at a special New York event, at least we haven't got long to wait to find out.

What do you think? Does this look like the real deal or a well-constructed fake? Let us know in the comments section below.
