Samsung Galaxy S4 camera to benefit from Orb technology

Ahead of the eagerly awaited Samsung Galaxy S4 release date, newly leaked Samsung Galaxy S4 features have suggested that the handset will land boasting Orb camera technology.

Allowing users to capture 360-degree snaps, the Samsung Orb technology, reportedly set to feature on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4, is rumoured to be the Korean manufacturer’s take on the Photosphere capabilities introduced through Android 4.2 and the Google Nexus 4.

A feature that has been widely available as a selection of independent apps prior to its Android 4.2 inclusion, the mooted Samsung Orb camera options would allow Samsung Galaxy S4 users to create 360-degree, all-encompassing images, moving the handset’s camera in all directions to ‘paint’ a photograph onto a blank canvas.

According to latest reports, the new Samsung Galaxy S4 camera features would enable users to upload a compression of their 360-degree snaps direct to Facebook, sharing the extreme panoramic shots with little fuss or hassle. At present Photosphere images can only be shared via Google Plus.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Rumours
Arguably the most eagerly awaited device on the tech horizon, the Samsung Galaxy S4 has been the thing of much rumour and speculation for a number of months, with the HTC One rival tipped to play host to everything from a new flexible display hosting form factor to a hefty eight-core processor.

According to latest Samsung Galaxy S4 rumours, the Samsung Galaxy S3 follow-on will feature a newly remodelled form factor, with the form pebble-esque design being handed more squared edges, with a new 4.99-inch display seeing an increase in size.

With Samsung seemingly set to forgo an MWC 2013 unveiling in favour of launching the handset at a private event later in the year, recent reports have claimed that a March 14 Samsung Galaxy S4 release date could be on the horizon.

Further Samsung Galaxy S4 features tipped for inclusion will reportedly see a 13-megapixel rear-mounted camera line up alongside Google’s Android 4.2 OS and the latest iteration of the manufacturer’s own Samsung TouchWiz UI.
