Samsung has begun pushing out a fresh update for its Samsung Galaxy S3 handset, known as Android 4.1.2 or 'Premium Suite.'

Over on Samsung's official global blog, Samsung Tomorrow, the company has been detailing some of the new features of the Premium Suite update. It appears as if it will involve bringing a number of the elements introduced with the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 over to Samsung's flagship smartphone.

Samsung has split the list of updates into two main categories: contextual awareness and enhanced features.

Contextual awareness includes Page Buddy, which anticipates what you want to do based on your actions. The example given is when you plug in your earphones, and Page Buddy boots up the music app.

The new contextual menu lists the most frequently used apps first, while contextual tag lets you automatically tag photos with the date, location and weather. Great for speedy Facebook sharing.

Over in the enhanced feature category, multi window has to be the star of the show. It lets you separate the Samsung Galaxy S3's large screen into two, running two apps simultaneously.

Elsewhere, it's been made possible to automatically share snaps locally over NFC, and Reader Mode reformats web pages for easy mobile viewing, Pocket/Safari style.

Finally, Facebook Lock Ticker allows you to check on the latest Facebook activity directly from the Samsung Galaxy S3's lock screen, pulling up a new notification menu from the bottom of the display.

Samsung will be running through more new features introduced by the Premium Suite update soon.

Have you received the Premium Suite update for your Samsung Galaxy S3? What do you make of the new features? Let us know in the comments box below, or via out Twitter and Facebook feeds.
