No sooner has the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 been revealed than rumours of a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Active have begun.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has had a somewhat mixed reception. While it looks and feels much nicer than previous models, Samsung's new high-end phablet appears to have taken a step back on power features like expandable storage and battery capacity.
That's why PhoneArena's claims of a possible Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Active will be of interest to many. Apparently, there'll be a Galaxy Note 5 Active released as soon as November - in the US, at least - and it'll be packed with much more juice than the Note 5.
As with the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, one of the headline features will be a significantly larger battery. While the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 'only' has a 3,000mAh battery, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Active will apparently come with a whopping 4,100mAh unit.

Naturally, you can also expect the Note 5 Active to be considerably more rugged than the glass-and-metal Note 5, with an IP68 water and dust-proof certification.
Otherwise, we'd expect the specs to be exactly the same as the original Note 5.
Whether such a Galaxy Note 5 Active would make its way to the UK is another matter entirely. Samsung decided not to release the Note 5 here in the UK, though a future launch hasn't been ruled out.
