Samsung is set to reveal its Samsung Galaxy Note 3, complete with a 5.9-inch display, this week – but only to US network operator AT&T.
According to Korea Times‘s sources (including an executive at Samsung’s main parts supplier),Samsung will show off a mock-up of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to high-ranking AT&T officials during a meeting in Suwon this week.
As the second largest network operator in the US and a major seller of Samsung devices, it’s easy to see why AT&T would merit such an early peek. However, the device they will be shown will not be a working one – it will simply show off the new phablet’s design, with none of the internal technology incorporated.

The report also appears to support recent rumours that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3’s display would be a 5.9-inch model. For some time now, the weight of internet rumour has pointed towards an increase from the Samsung Galaxy Note 2‘s 5.5-inch display to a 6.3-inch example, but it appears as if a more modest increase is in order.
Apparently, the 6.3-inch display that Samsung is working on is for a later phablet device, which will apparently be a budget model. It will utilise an LCD panel rather than Samsung’s expensive AMOLED technology.
