Samsung Galaxy Note 3 rumours point to 6.3-inch octa-core handset

New Samsung Galaxy Note 3 rumours have hit the web with the company’s third-generation smartphone-turn-tablet hybrid reportedly set to feature a whopping 6.3-inch screen and powerful eight-core processor.

Marking what would be a notable increase in screen size over the current Samsung Galaxy Note 2 device, the newly surface Samsung Galaxy Note 3 rumours have suggested that the stylus toting hybrid device will be officially unveiled later this year with a 6.3-inch display, up from last year’s already oversized 5.5-inch offering.

Casting further speculation of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 specs sheet, news outlets from Samsung’s native South Korea have suggested that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 features list will benefit from the CES 2013 unveiled eight-core Exynos 5 Octa processor. Far from the first handset to be tipped as an eight-core convert, reports earlier this week suggested the as yet Samsung Galaxy S4 will also play host to the new octa-core innards.

Citing unnamed officials, news outlet Korea Times has reported that “Samsung plans to use the Octa core processor in the upcoming 6.3-inch Galaxy Note 3, which will debut later this year.”

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Rumours
Still far from confirmation, a number of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 rumours have been doing the rounds in recent weeks, with the reportedly upcoming tablet-cum-smartphone hybrid repeatedly tipped to be on the receiving end of an increase in screen size.

Previously tipped to be heading for launch with a near 7-inch tablet screen in tow, reports last month also suggested the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 screen will line up at 6.3-inches in size as the company looks to stave off increased rivalry from the newly dubbed ‘phablet’ market.

Having ignited a trend with the strong selling first-generation Samsung Galaxy Note, the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will face competition from the likes of the CES 2013 unveiled 6.1-inch Huawei Mate and the heavily rumoured 5.5-inch LG Optimus G2.

With a concrete Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date still far from official, it has been suggested that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 launch event will be held at MWC 2013 next month with the handset to hit retailers shortly after.
