The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 price has been officially set at £649 as the third-generation phablet device is made available for pre-order in the UK.
Formally launched alongside the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch during last week’s IFA 2013 conference in Berlin, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is a direct follow-on to last year’s Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Having been unveiled without a formal UK cost details, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 price has now been confirmed as £649.
A lofty price tag to match the handset’s high-end array of specs, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 features a premium collection of innards including a quad-core processor and a 5.7-inch Full HD display. This £649 fee for the 32GB handset is almost comparable with the £699 fee for the 64GB iPhone 5.
With Samsung having already opened up pre-orders for its upcoming stylus toting smartphone, the South Korean manufacturer has confirmed the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date as September 25.
This imminent arrival is expected to see the third-generation Note go head-to-head with Apple’s latest smartphones with the iPhone 5S release date tipped for September 20 alongside the iPhone 5C.
Sporting a whopping 3GB of RAM, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 specs sheet is a what’s what of high-end components. Powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and Google’s Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS, the Note 3 adds 4K video capture to its bulging bag of tricks.
Elsewhere the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 camera collection sees a 13-megapixel rear-mounted option sported alongside a secondary snapper up front.
Far from the only costly new addition to the Galaxy line up, Samsung has confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Gear price has been set at a considerable £399.
For those looking to snap up both the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Samsung Galaxy Gear, the manufacturer is offering £100 off the bundle price, with the two IFA unveiled products priced at £848.
