Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 UK price and release date revealed

The Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 has had its UK pricing and approximate release date revealed by an online retailer.

It seems the chunky phablet will be hitting our virtual shelves in July at a cost of £459.99, according to a recent blog posting over on Clove.

It’s worth noting that the retailer refers to this July release date as an “estimated arrival time,” and that the “exact date for which is yet to be confirmed.”

The online retailer is offering the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 up for pre-order.

As suggested by its name, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 will be a big device. Featuring a 6.3-inch display with a relatively modest 720p resolution, this won’t be reaching Samsung Galaxy S4 or even Samsung Galaxy S3 levels of sharpness.

The mid-range specs continue with a 1.7GHz dual-core processor, and unusual 1.5GB of RAM, and an 8-megapixel rear camera. It’ll feature 16GB of internal storage.

Though it doesn’t quite boast the hardware chops of the Samsung Galaxy S4, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 will be able to match the flagship device through software.

Not only will it run on the very latest iteration of the Android OS, version 4.2.2, it’ll also come with the various custom software add-ons Samsung recently introduced with the S4.

This includes Group Play, Samsung WatchOn, Samsung Link, S Translator, ChatON, S Travel, Story Album and doubtless many more superfluous features you’ll never use except to to show off to your friends.
