Samsung Galaxy Fame unveiled ahead of MWC 2013
Samsung has expanded its range of budget Android handsets, with the Samsung Galaxy Fame officially unveiled ahead of MWC 2013.
Taking design hits from its Samsung Galaxy S3 branded big brother, the rounded edged Samsung Galaxy Fame is sized similarly to the iPhone 4S, with a 3.5-inch display lining up on the NFC enabled, entry-level handset.
“The Samsung Galaxy Fame is a stylish device coupled with a sophisticated, simple and powerful user experience,” an official Samsung spokesperson said. “Equipped with NFC, the Galaxy Fame allows easy sharing via S Beam with other Samsung smartphones by simply touching two different devices’ backs.”
Samsung Galaxy Fame Specs
Far from a ground breaking collection of innards, the Samsung Galaxy Fame features a basic, entry-level collection of components, with the handset’s low key 3.5-inch HVGA TFT display lining up alongside Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean innards.
With a low quality VGA camera on the fore, the Samsung Galaxy Fame specs sheet sees a second, 5-megapixel snapper feature on the rear of the 11.6mm thick handset which weighs in at a standard 120.6g. Running the company’s much praised Samsung TouchWiz UI, the Samsung Galaxy Fame hosts Bluetooth 4.0 and the standard Wi-Fi connectivity options alongside NFC technologies.
Whilst a 1GHz single-core processor helps run the show, the Samsung Galaxy Fame specs collection is finished off by 512MB or RAM and just 4GB of integrated storage, expandable via microSD up to 64GB. Keeping things chugging along, a 1300mAh Lithium Ion battery features.
