Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 rumoured for IFA unveiling

Building on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4 launch, Samsung looks set to continue to tackle the smartphone market from all angles, with the Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 rumoured for an IFA 2013 unveiling.

The latest addition to the South Korean manufacturer’s leading entry-level handset line, the Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 will reportedly touch down later this year as a direct follow-on to the current Samsung Galaxy Ace 2, with a revamped collection of specs partnered with a variety of colour options.

Seemingly set to make a jump in screen size, the mooted Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 will, according to repeated Samsung tipster SamMobile, play host to a new 4-inch AMOLED display, up from the 3.8-inch offering on the current model.

As well as a new display, the latest reports have suggested that the handset will be considerable zippier than the current model, making the jump to an improved 1.2GHz dual-core CPU over the existing 800MHz option. Aside from this, however, the handset looks set to be lacking in further improvements, tipped to feature the same 5-megapixel rear-mounted camera and 4GB of internal storage as the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2.

Alongside a relatively basic yet entry-level appeasing collection of innards, the Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 will reportedly feature a collection of varyingly hued colour schemes, with the traditional Metallic Black and Pure White options set to line up alongside Metallic Blue and Wine Red handsets.

According to the leaks, “the Galaxy Ace 3 is planned for week 22/23,” a potential launch period that, if starting from the beginning of the financial year, would see the handset formally unveiled at IFA 2013. As well as the Samsung Galaxy Ace 3, latest reports have suggested that Samsung’s IFA product line up could include the eagerly awaited Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the recently leaked Samsung Galaxy Mega, a gargantuan 6.3-inch handset that will further blur the lines between smartphones and tablets.

Expected to land in 5.8-inch and 6.3-inch forms, the rumoured Samsung Galaxy Mega line will reportedly answer consumer calls for even larger smartphone displays.

“The Galaxy Mega 5.8 will come in the colour white and will be available around week 22. The Galaxy Mega 6.3 will come in the colours black and white these Galaxy devices need to be available around week 25,” insider tipsters recently declared.
