Samsung has announced its first ever laptop to feature a 4K display, the ATIV Book 9 Pro.
The new machine will come with the sixth-gen Intel Core processors (up to Core i7) as well as an optional NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M graphics chip.
Buyers will be able to pack 8GB RAM into the laptop which offers 256GB storage and 6.5 hours of battery life. In terms of ports, there’s a 4K HDMI out and a reversible USB Type-C port stuffed into the 4.45lb chassis.
All of that high-end tech won’t come cheap though. The model will cost Samsung fans $1,599, which is in line with Apple’s MacBook Pro with Retina Display range.

This Ultrabook laptop has a 13.3-inch QHD+ (3,200 x 1,800) display, alongside Core i7 processors. It has 8GB of RAM and weighs 2.87lbs. This model has been priced at $1,399.
It’s unlikely either machine will make it to Europe as Samsung continues its self-enforced exile from the market.
