Samsung has launched the Samsung Ativ Book 9 2014 and the Samsung Ativ One7 2014 computers at CES 2014.
Building on the success of the Samsung Ativ Book models launched last year, the 2014 edition offers updated specs and refined designs.
Samsung has yet to announce pricing or availability for either of the 2014 models, but there’s all the specs listed below.
Samsung Ativ Book 9 2014 Features
The Samsung Ativ Book 9 features a 15.6-inch Full 1080 x 1920p HD display, that is 20 per cent brighter and offers a resolution 125 per cent better than the previous model, according to Samsung.
It is powered by an Intel Haswell i5 or i7 core with Intel HD 4400 Graphics and up to 8GB of RAM.
There’s the option of having up to a 1TB SSD (or dual SSD) storage drive in the Ativ Book 9 as well.
The Ativ Book 9 runs Windows 8 and comes packaged in a single-shell Solid Black metal body weighing 1.85kg.
Samsung claims it has a 14hour battery life for all day laptop use on a single charge.
Connectivity-wise the Samsung Ativ Book 9 has two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0, one HDMI and one mini VGA port. You also get an SD card reader too.
Samsung Ativ One7 2014 Features
The Samsung Ativ One7 is an all-in-one PC that offers a 24-inch Full 1920 x 1080p HD LED display with 10-point touch recognition. This has a 178-degree viewing angle and incorporates Dolby Home Theatre audio technology.
It runs on a 4th generation Intel Core i3 or i5 processor with 8GB of RAM and integrated graphics. The internal storage options are either a 1TB HDD with a 128GB SSD or a 1TB HDD on its own.
Through Samsung Link, this large hard drive turns the Ativ One7 into a secure cloud service for storing videos, photos and other content to access from anywhere.
The Ativ One7 has a pair of seven watt speakers with built in tweeters, which can be connected to smartphones and tablets via Bluetooth even when the One7 is turned off.
Running Windows 8.1, the Ativ One7 has two USB 3.0, a pair of USB 2.0 and HDMI in/out ports. This means the Ativ One7 can also be connected to a HDTV for large screen viewing.
