Saints Row 4 tops UK All Format Gaming Chart for second week

Saints Row 4 has topped the UK All Format Gaming Chart for the second week running, fighting off competition from a host of new entries.

Deep Silver and Koch’s title, Saints Row 4 has managed to hold firm at the top of the UK All Format Gaming Chart, despite a week seeing five new games enter the top 40.

Also selling strong for the second week running is Ubisoft title Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist, which also launched last week to great critical acclaim.

The highest ranking new entry this week is at number 3 – Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn. Originally released in 2010 for PC only, Square Enix has reinvigorated the title for PS3 and PC, introducing the series to a MMORPG world.

The Final Fantasy release pushed down last week’s new release, Disney Infinity, down to number 4. Available on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and Wii U, it brings the Skylanders playable figurine idea to the Disney world.

At number five this week is former chart topper Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, falling from fourth the previous week.

Ubisoft is also having a great success with Rayman Legends, debuting at number six this week. Outselling its predecessor Rayman Origins by 20 per cent, Rayman Legends launched for Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Wii U.

Following the Ubisoft platformer at number seven is another new entry, Madden NFL 25. At number eight is Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, falling three places for the week ending August 31.

A surprise entry into the UK All Format Gaming Chart this week is Payday 2, rising from 18 to nine.

FIFA 13 rounds off the UK Gaming Chart at number ten, dropping four places from sixth.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes and The Last of Us were all pushed out of the top ten this week because of the new releases.
