Rockstar offers further details on GTA 5 Special and Collector’s Edition

Rockstar Games has released further details on the GTA 5 Special and Collector’s Edition, ahead of next month’s release date.

The Limited Edition Special and Collector’s Editions of GTA 5 are available to pre-order now and will offer gamers additional in-game content such as weapons and outfits.

Described by Rockstar Games as offering “a bevy of enhancements and accessories for all three protagonists as well as your character in Grand Theft Auto Online”, the GTA 5 Special and Collector’s Editions have extra goodies for gamers to use.

Gamers who pre-order the GTA 5 Special and Collector’s Editions will get access to a .50 Caliber Pistol and Bullpup Shotgun from the Ammu-Nation stores and a brutal melee weapon called the Hammer.

Gamers will also be offered 20 per cent discount when visiting any of the shops around Los Santos and Blaine County, and one special outfit per character in their wardrobes or in stores. There’s also one additional article of clothing for Michael, Trevor and Franklin and a unique tattoo for each.

All three of the main protagonists have a special ability that allows them to perform at their best when the Special Ability bar is full. Anyone will the Special and Collector’s Edition will see the Special Ability bar generate 25 per cent faster.

Michael is an expert marksman, Franklin is a skilled driver and Trevor is a drug-addled sociopath with a short fuse whose Special Ability sends him into a rage causing double damage to anyone who crosses his path.

Special and Collector’s Edition owners will get access to five thrilling and unique challenges for the Stunt Plane trials.

Those boasting the GTA 5 Collector’s Edition will get unique characters to play with in Grand Theft Auto Online, including Niko Bellic from GTA 4 and Claude and Misty from GTA 3.

Collector’s Edition owners will also receive the keys to an exclusive garage which houses a CarbonRS sports bike and the Hotknife hotrod in GTA 5. In GTA Online they will get the high-end Khamelion electric car.
