Rocket League is a now a thing in Halo 5

Some nifty players have recreated Psyonix’s Rocket League in Halo 5: Guardians using the game’s forge mode.

After murdering covenant, flood and forerunners for weeks on end, Spartans deserve a bit of a break. So, what better way to relax then a cheeky game of Rocket League.

Unfortunately, the addictive title isn’t available on Xbox One just yet, so Halo 5 players have come up with an alternative.

Using the game’s new forge mode, players have created a custom map that mimics the mechanical madness of Rocket League.

Instead of cars, you can use Ghosts to drive about the open arena; punting the ball as you desperately try to score.

The mode pits two teams against each other, and currently supports up to 16 players.

It’s a faithful recreation of the original game, and a decent substitute until the real deal comes along later this month.

Rocket League is coming to Xbox One on February 17, and will come bundled with all of the previously released DLC for a special price.

Xbox One owners will even have access to some exclusive vehicles, including Halo’s Warthog and The Armadillo from Gears of War.

Psyonix has said recently it plans to “aggressively support” the Xbox One version, bringing it in balance with the PS4 and PC releases.
