Rides with Strangers stalking onto PS4 and Xbox One

Terrifying kickstarter Rides with Strangers is coming to PS4 and Xbox One as the funding campaign hits a new stretch goal.

Being alone in the dark is scary enough, but knowing that someone out there is watching your every move is guaranteed nightmare fuel.

Rides with Strangers is a unique horror title that plays with such a premise. The player is forced to hitch a ride with 10 strangers, each with their own creepy quirks and traits.

Previously exclusive to PC, the kickstarter-funded project will now be coming to PS4 and Xbox One upon reaching its funding goal of of $32,000.

The kickstarter campaign asked for $25,000 to fund the game, with additional stretch goals intended to add more features to the game.

In Rides with Strangers you play as a stranded woman forced to hitch a ride with a series of terrifying individuals.

"Every Stranger who will welcome you into their car tonight has been meticulously constructed, from their design to their dialogue, to represent the link that exists outside of polite society," reads the blurb.

"Will you be prepared to face them knowing that these horrors could very well exist within your real waking world? Will you be able to put down this game and return to your regular life, watching strangers pass, knowing this could happen to you?”

"Whoever you end up sharing the ride with, remember to keep a careful, watchful eye. Remember, despite the small talk, that they are not your saviour but a wolf in sheep's skin."

It’s a brilliant idea, and plays on the fears we all have of darkness, isolation and being stalked by strangers in the night.
