If you're cycling at night, you really should use lights. Revolights Eclipse+ not only lights you up, it makes you look like you're straight out of Tron too.
It's the evolution of the previous model, the standard Eclipse. Eclipse+ features a new snap-in battery that does away with cables. The on/off switch is also easier to access. You should be able to install the lights in just a few minutes. But perhaps the biggest addition is Bluetooth.
That means you can sync it to your phone. While the app is still in development, the makers claim it'll let you control indicators, enable ride tracking, let you switch the lights on and off and will make them come on automatically at certain times using the time of day sensor. It'll also have weather alerts, show you the battery life and have achievement tracking.
Using the app, you can compete with others and keep tabs on how many calories you've burned.

Revolights claims its system offers more visibility than standard front and back lights. Though from some of the pictures, when in complete darkness they look less visible than someone with a helmet light and reflective jacket. Remember, stay safe.
It's passed its funding goal and still has 27 days to go. You can pick up a set for $209 (£135). It'll ship in June. Shame it won't arrive in time for winter, but you can't win them all.
