We all knew it was on the cards but now Capcom has made it official. The bioterrorism-fueled fun is back with Resident Evil 6 hitting Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on 20 November with a Windows version to follow.
Fake trailers, spurious graffiti and many other rumours were finally confirmed today by Capcom. While the new game will feature series regulars Leon S. Kennedy and Chris Redfield, you can see from the trailer that there will be a lot of new characters and a much more expansive world in which to shoot those infected beasts.
Resident Evil 6 will take place a decade after the Raccoon City incident and sees the President of the United States become infected following a bioterrorist attack. The new game will be a much more expansive title with the game switching from the US to China following a global bioterrorist attack.
Hiroyuki Kobayashi, executive producer of the new games said:
“From the outset the team’s intention was to create an experience that
delivers a gripping storyline, tense single-player and co-op action all
set against a constant theme of horror. We are calling this fusion
dramatic horror and are confident it will resonate with both existing
fans of the series as well as newcomers.”
