Samsung has donned its Christmas hat and tinsel accessories, giving the Galaxy Note 4 a festive-themed makeover in the form of a new, red-hued finish.
With the 5.7-inch phablet having been introduced with an option of four colour schemes back in September, the new red offering has been announced in time for the impending Christmas celebrations.
As this is a flagship phone, however, simply dubbing the new finish ‘red’ just wouldn’t cut it. So then, Samsung has branded the refreshed paint job ‘Velvet Red’.
The new colours option joins the existing ‘Frosted White’, ‘Charcoal Black’, ‘Bronze Gold’ and ‘Blossom Pink’ offerings.
Sadly, if you’re hoping to add a little festivity to your smartphone, you might be left disappointed. The red Galaxy Note 4 is set to be available exclusively in the company’s native Korea at launch.
There is currently no word on when the UK market might be treated to the device.
Newly toned body aside, the red Galaxy Note 4 is no different to its siblings.
The handset pairs a 5.7-inch, 2560 x 1440 pixel QHD display alongside a speedy 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor and 3GB of RAM.
Featuring a metal-edged design, the Note 4’s specs sheet is further enhanced by a 16-megapixel, OIS-enhanced primary camera, 3.7-megapixel forward-facing snapper, a 3220mAh Lithium-Ion battery and 32GB of internal storage – expandable via microSD.
As a further sign of the company's holiday happiness, red S5 and Galaxy W handsets have been introduced.
