Intel owned Recon Instruments will launch a set of paitball goggles which feature a heads-up display.
The Empire EVS headset, currently on show at CES 2016, utilises the same Recon Snow2 HUD tech as the company’s other big product, the Airwave ski goggles.
Users will be able to see information relating to the paintball match such as field maps, ammo, and teammate locations.

The goggles run on a version of Android and project what appears as a 14-inch screen viewed from a distance of 5 feet into the users view, just below the right eye.
Other features include a 1GHz CPU, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth capabilities, as well as GPS.
There is no word as of yet on when the goggles, made in partnership with Empire Paintball, will be released and Recon are also staying quiet on the price.
Intel bought Recon Instruments in June 2015 and has been working on a number of wearable technologies.
The company unveiled a series of new Curie and RealSense enabled wearable products
at CES 2016, including new sports focused smart glasses from Oakley and a futuristic looking Daqri Smart Helmet.
