Razer DeathAdder unveiled as world’s most precise mouse

The Razer DeathAdder 2013 has been officially unveiled as arguably the most precise mouse in the world, boasting a 6400dpi optical sensor that trumps the 3500dpi one used by its predecessor.

Replacing the existing DeathAdder model in Razer’s line-up, the Razer DeathAdder 2012 is described by the peripheral manufacturer as “improving on perfection” and is clearly aimed at PC gamers who are looking for ultimate accuracy – we don’t suppose that incredibly sensitive sensor will make much difference to those of us who just want to check emails, surf the web and play the odd bout of Angry Birds when we get bored.

The DeathAdder 2013 also features improved ergonomics over its predecessor, thanks to new rubber side grips. It comes with a lengthy 7-foot USB cable, as well as Razer’s own Synapse 2.0 software, which syncs to the cloud and ensures the latest drivers are downloaded.

Whilst at present only a right-handed edition of the Razer DeathAdder 2013 is available, it is expected that, much like its predessor, the latest DeathAdder mouse will be made available to lefty gamers in the near future.

Available to buy now, the Razer DeathAdder 2013 is far from the cheapest, or indeed most expensive gaming mouse on the market with wannabe owners needing to part ways with £64.99 to get 6400dpi response rates.

What do you make of the over the top Razer DeathAdder 2013 gaming mouse? Will you be splashing out on one to enhance your PC gaming addiction? Let us know via the Trusted Reviews Twitter and Facebook feeds or through the comments boxes below.

Most precise?!?
If you are using the sensor DPI spec as the measure both Logitech G600 and Roccat Kone Pure and XTD claim 8200 DPI and ARE available to purchase.

Those use laser sensors. The DA uses an optical sensor which is better.

again another reviewer who thinks that just because it has 6400dpi that it is the "most precise mouse in the world" and that it has "6400dpi response rates" absolute letdown

This isn't a review it's a news story. We'll try and get a sample to review and tell you what we actually think of it.

Hi, i would really want to know how is the new Deathadder 2013 Comparred in performance to its older version with 3500 dpi.
This will be soooo usefull for me, because i am trying to decide between the two versions of the Deathadder so i will know witch one has a better sensor and which one of them will be a better buy for my money and FPS gaming.
Thanks in advanced, Zach.

I've got the 3500dpi version myself and love it (almost immediate improvement in my K/D on counterstrike and BF2) so I'll try and get a review on the 2013 and let you know
