Quantum Break Steam release pushed back by a couple of weeks

The Steam version of Remedy Entertainment’s Quantum Break has been delayed by two weeks, and will now launch on September 29.

Previously exclusive to Xbox One and Windows 10, the time-bending third-person shooter was originally set to hit Steam on September 14.

The short yet sudden change appears to be a result of a delay in production for the game’s “Timeless Collector’s Edition,” a physical PC bundle which includes a making of documentary, soundtrack and a couple of posters.

This production mishap has also led to the Steam release being delayed to ensure both the physical and digital versions launch simultaneously.

“Due to additional time required for mastering and manufacturing the Quantum Break – Timeless Collector’s Edition for retail, the decision has been made to move the release to September 29th,” said THQ Nordic. “This concerns both, the Steam version, as well as the retail edition.”

Quantum Break launched back in May for Xbox One and Windows 10 to generally positive critical and commercial reception.

We awarded it a respectable 7/10 in our review, praising its engaging time control gunplay and spectacular sci-fi storyline.
