Forget Smart TVs and catch-up services, digital radios are where it’s at and Pure has a new line of design-led offerings in the form of the Pure Pop family.
Comprising of a trio of products, the Pure Pop radios come in varying sizes for different consumer tastes and needs. Kicking off with the compact Pure Pop Mini, the range also includes the Pop Midi and, yep, you guessed it, the Pop Maxi.
Taking their name from the large, round power button which ‘pops’ from the device’s top when pressed, the Pop family are all built around the same design principle. This button then doubles as a volume dial when in use.
All three models feature ten channel presets and five dedicated keys.
While the Pop Midi features the same footprint as the Mini, albeit with a taller form, the Maxi is twice the size of the Midi and, unlike its siblings, benefits form stereo audio and Bluetooth connectivity as standard.
“Since inception, digital radio design has remained largely unchanged, despite the evolution of consumer listening habits,” Nick Hucker, Pure’s Senior Director of Sales and Marketing stated.
He added: “Many entry level digital radios lack individuality and quality audio, despite the advances in technology and high-quality sound engineering. This is why we wanted to introduce Pop, a product focused on how consumers interact with their digital radio, based on functionality, ease of use, while maintaining a stylish design and first class audio that Pure customers are accustomed to.”
The Pure Pop Midi will go on sale next month, with the rest of the family to launch later in the year. Prices will kick off at £59.99 and run up to £99.99.
