The PT Silent Hill inspired Allison Road has been pulled from Kickstarter, thanks to new backing from publisher Team 17.

Developer Lillith has cancelled its Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for survival horror game Allison Road, which was started on September 21.

Allison Road might have raised £145,959 of its £250,00 goal thanks to 4,482 backers, but the developer has pulled out of the Kickstarter appeal.

That's due to the fact it's going to team up with indie publisher Team 17, as developer Lillith has announced on the Allison Road Kickstarter page.

"We are delighted to announce that we will be joining Team17's highly successful games label," said Lillith on Kickstarter.

"If you don't know who Team17 is, they are most known for the Worms franchise, however, it runs a fully independent games lable. For us it's an incredible opportunity to be part of a label that looks after not only such a massive gaming franchise, but also supports develoeprs like Playtonic, Mouldy Toof and many others."

This isn't the first Kickstarter Team 17 has stepped in to help either, as back in July the label announced it would be publishing Playtonic's Yooka-Laylee, which had already raised over £2 million via Kickstarter.

"Working with Team 17 will give us the chance to make our game unhindered creatively, but at the same time will give us the resources, support and experience that only a 25-year-old studio can give."

"For all of you that have pledged already for in-game rewards, we absolutely promise you that we will look at ways outside of Kickstarter that will allow you to be involved in the game at a later date."

There's no word on whether Allison Road is on track for it's original "end of 2016" predicted release date.
