PS4 update 2.0 available to download now

Sony has released the PS4 update 2.0, dubbed Masamune, and it is available to download now with all its new features.

Nearly two months after it was officially announced at GamesCom, PS4 update 2.0 aka Masamune has gone live and can be downloaded now.

In fact, if you turn on your PS4 right now, you’ll be told you have to install the latest system update, meaning you really obliged to get all those new features.

And why wouldn’t you? PS4 update 2.0 is the biggest update to Sony’s latest console since it was launched last November.

It brings with it a host of new features for the PS4, including:

  • Share Play – an innovative way to share your games with your PS4 owner friends, even if they don’t own said game
  • YouTube support
  • Custom background colours and themes
  • USB Music Player
  • Live from PlayStation updates
