PS Plus August 2015 games announced for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita

Sony has confirmed the free PS Plus August 2015 games for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita.

With the next batch of free PS Plus games arriving in less than a week, we’ve been eager to see what Sony is giving us this month.

And the offering is pretty strong for August, as it has been for quite some time.

There are six games on offer, with the majority available on the latest PS4 console.

First up is Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris on the PS4, which is an action adventure title where Lara travels to Egypt and joins forces with fellow treasure hunter Carter Bell.

When they accidentally awaken the god of the Eygptian underworld Set, Carter and Lara must work together with imprisoned gods Horus and Isis to defeat him. This gas a great four player co-op storyline, where you must work together to solve the game’s various puzzles.

For the PS3, we have God of War: Ascension. It’s been six months since Kratos’ wife and child died by his own hand and he’s battling insanity. As he strives to gain his freedom, redemption and vengeance, he’ll be sorely tested and that’s where you come in.

In August, you’ll also get free access to Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita. You play as a clone trying to escape and sinister and high-tech testing facility. This brilliant platformer offers over 60 levels all linked by a sprawling overworld.

CastleStorm Complete Edition will also be available for PS3 and PS Vita, which is a game where 2D physics destruction meets medieval warfare.

Then there’s Sound Shapes for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita. In this game, sounds and shapes mesh together to create a rather unique platforming experience. You can even create your own levels and therefore your own musical composition in-game too.

Finally, PS4 gamers will receive Limbo, just to round out the PS Plus offerings this month.

If you’ve not heard of Limbo, it’s a black and white eerie puzzle-platformer where you play as a young boy travelling across a treacherous world.
