Project Morpheus GDC 2015

PlayStation has revealed we will start to see the first full Project Morpheus games at E3 2015.

Speaking during GDC 2015, PlayStation President of Worldwide Studios confirmed we should start seeing first-party Project Morpheus titles at the June event.

“Many studios of ours are working on actual games,” said Yoshida in an interview with GameSpot. “We haven’t talked about these games yet. We are waiting for the right time. Starting probably at E3, we will start to show the actual games.

At GDC 2015, Sony revealed two brand new demos for Project Morpheus, including an excellent spin-off of the Playroom title and another from Sony’s London Studios called The London Heist.

But, it looks like we’ll be seeing some mystery titles at E3 2015, and we might even see some new demos emerge too.

Yoshida said he is “so excited” to reveal the Project Morpheus titles, and especially those even he doesn’t know about yet.

“I’m expecting a developer that we don’t even know exists today will come up with something amazing,” he added. “What excites me most, from our experience launching many platforms, is that it’s always someone who we do not expect that comes up with totally new ideas and blows anybody’s mind.”

Yoshida still can’t give us a predicted price for Project Morpheus when it is released to the public in the first half of 2016.

“As low as possibly can be done. We are not talking about any specific number, but this is a console business. We try to provide the hardware at the lowest possible cost so that more people can come in. and so that developers can make games on to create the market. So we’ll have the same approach.”
