Possible Samsung Galaxy Note 5 & S6 Edge+ press renders leak

Everything points to Samsung launching two new phablets at its August 13 event.

The latest in Samsung smartphone rumours is an image purportedly showing two leaked renders for upcoming handsets.

And the handsets appear to be none other than the much-rumoured Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+.

The renders come from prolific rumour-spinner Evan Blass – a.k.a Evleaks – and could be our best look yet at Samsung’s next flagship devices.

Samsung has already confirmed its annual “Unpacked” event for August 13, so it’s likely we’ll see these two devices there.

Don’t forget that Samsung’s bezel-spinning Gear A smartwatch is also tipped to make an appearance.

The Galaxy Note 5 is a successor to last year’s Galaxy Note 4, although the latter was announced in September (read: not August) last year.

The Galaxy S6 Edge+, meanwhile, is a spin-off variant of this year’s Galaxy S6 Edge.

It seems quite premature to be launching a scaled-up version of the S6 Edge, but Samsung has never been one to shy away from a wide-ranging roster of products.

It’s worth noting that Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed either the Note 5 or S6 Edge+, so take this report with a pinch of salt for now.
