Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon get six new monsters in new gameplay trailer

The latest gameplay trailer for Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon has revealed six new Pokémon for players to catch this November.

With Pokémon Go currently sweeping the globe, it’s a pretty good time for Nintendo to show us what new monsters we’ll be catching on 3DS when the two games launch on 18 November.

The six new Pokémon won’t do any favours for the old-school fans’ claims that they’ve already run out of ideas, with a hand-drawn Pikachu (Mimikyu), a horse with dreadlocks (Mudsdale) and a floral reef (Comfey) joining the roster, but they’re still adorable and we know we’ll all be hunting them this holiday.

Here’s the six new Pokémon:

  1. Wimpod – Bug/Water type; Ability: Wimp Out
  2. Bounsweet – Grass; Ability: Leaf Guard/Oblivious
  3. Comfey – Fairy; Ability: Flower Veil/Triage
  4. Mudsdale – Ground; Ability: Own tempo/Stamina
  5. Mimikyu – Ghost/Fairy; Ability: Disguise
  6. Bewear – Normal/Fighting; Ability: Fluffy/Klutz
