PlayStation Vue TV service to launch in Q1 2015
The PlayStation Vue TV service will launch in the US in Q1 2015.
Speaking during the Sony CES 2015 press conference, Sony President and CEO Kaz Hirai confirmed the PlayStation Vue cloud service would launch early this year.
The streaming TV service for PS4 and PS3 will be available in full in the US sometime in the next three months.
The service was previously only available to users who’d personally received an invite to the beta preview.
PlayStation Vue will offer access to a number of established TV channels without the need for a lengthy contract or any other kind of hardware like a satellite or digital receiver.
The service will allow users to make the past three days of programming available at a touch of a button, but you can also save shows to the cloud without having to worry about storage limits or potential scheduling conflicts.

“PlayStation Vue reinvents the traditional viewing experience so your programming effortlessly finds you, enabling you to watch much more of what you want a search a lot less,” said Sony’s Andrew House at the time.
PlayStation Vue currently has 75 channels to its name, including CBS, Fox, Discovery Communications, NBC and Viacom.
The initial beta started in New York and slowly rolled out to Chicago, Philadelphia and Los Angeles.
The full launch will hopefully apply to the whole of the US, but we’ll no doubt get more information closer to the time.
Sony has also not yet released the subscription costs for PlayStation Vue. It has been confirmed that it will be offered on a rolling monthly contract.
