Sony has confirmed the PlayStation Now UK private beta will start “this spring”.

Over a year after the US beta started, the UK is finally getting in on the PlayStation Now action. However, we don't have a specific release date beyond the "spring" launch window Sony is currently offering.

The private beta registration for Sony’s game streaming service is open now here and if you’re a PlayStation Plus member and you own a PS4 you could be in with a chance of being accepted.

If you want to be among the first to try out PlayStation Now in the UK, you can head to the PS Now website and fill in the form.

During the PlayStation Now private beta you’ll be able to sample select PlayStation 3 games streamed via the cloud.

These games include Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, The Last of Us, God of War Ascension, Rayman Legends, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Saint’s Row: The Third – The Full Package, Just Cause 2, The Walking Dead and Dirt 3.

Apparently these game titles won’t necessarily represent what ends up in the full, consumer version of the PlayStation Now service.

For those who are interested, the PS Now private UK beta will offer the streaming service for free, giving you access to the selected PS3 games on tap.

When it eventually launches in the UK in full, you’ll be able to stream games at a low rental cost or on a subscription basis. It’ll come first to PS4 and then to other PlayStation Now supported devices like the PS TV and select Sony Bravia TVs.

All you need is a DualShock 3 or DualShock 3 and a minimum 5mbps Wi-Fi internet connection.

“SCEE will continually evolve the PS Now service by expanding the library of titles, enhancing features, and broadening the range of compatible devices,” said Sony in a statement.
