Play Killing Floor 2 for free this weekend on PC

A free weekend for Killing Floor 2 has been announced following a major update.

Yet another free weekend is coming to Steam, this time we will have a chance to play Killing Floor 2, the gruesome shooter by Tripwire Interactive.

This free weekend seems to be a celebration for a major update that was just released for the game.

The update adds two new classes, the Firebug and and Demolitions; topped off with new weapons and grenades for each class.

Two new maps are also being added to the game in conjunction with new achievements and updated skill trees for certain classes.

Tripwire’s co-operative zombie shooter is currently free to download, and will be until September 6, at 5PM GMT.

The full game will be playable across the weekend, which is still in development via Steam’s early access programme.

If you happen to own Chivalry: Medieval Warfare on Steam, you’ll be able to play as the Knight character in Killing Floor 2, complete with his Zweihander longsword.

Owners of Red Orchestra 2 will also receive access to bonus character, Anton Strasser.

To coincide with the free weekend, Killing Floor 2 is 33 per cent off its original price on Steam. It would usually cost you £19.99, but right now you can grab it for as little as £13.32.

Killing Floor 2 will be discounted until September 7, so grab it whilst you can if you have been waiting for a price drop.
