Fans of flesh eating monsters and occasional gardening will want to try out Garden Warfare 2’s multiplayer beta, which is coming to consoles next week.
The original Garden Warfare was a surprisingly enjoyable third person shooter when it launched back in 2014.
It may have lacked the longevity of other modern shooters, but it made up for this with creative character designs and unique game modes.

EA has announced that the open beta will commence on January 14 for PS4 and Xbox One. It seems the beta will be open to everyone, so you won’t need a code to access it.
Players will have access to four maps and six different character classes, some of which are new to the sequel.
Backyard Battleground, the game’s interactive hub world, will also be available to explore.

Some of the beta’s game modes include: Flag of Power, Herbal Assault and Gardens & Graveyards.
Many of these sound a little unusual, but most of them are simple variants of traditional multiplayer modes like Team Deathmatch and King of the Hill.
The multiplayer beta will last until January 18, giving you four days to get your fill.
Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 will be available on February 25 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
