PayPal Pay After Delivery only charges you when package arrives

PayPal has established itself as one of the most convenient way to pay for goods online, but it still hasn’t skirted that inherent risk of paying for an item long before the consumer receives it. Until now.

The company has officially announced the launch of its Pay After Delivery service, which allows users to pay for their goods a full two weeks after they have placed the order.

The idea, PayPal says, is to give its customers the same level of confidence they’d experience if shopping in a retail store, while still ensuring the retailers get paid as soon as the purchase has been made.

“We want people to have the same level of confidence whether they shop online or in store, which is why we have relationships with both buyers and sellers, enabling shoppers to buy things and pay later, while ensuring that merchants gets paid immediately,” the company wrote on its blog.

Pay After Delivery had been trialled in the US and the UK at various points, but now the service, which means users won’t have to pay for goods that never show up, is fully live.

Meanwhile, in more great news for burger-loving PayPal users, the firm also announced it’ll enable users to pay for their Bacon Double Cheeseburgers through PayPal via fast food giant’s mobile app. Bonus.
