Panasonic ZT60 plasma TV price and release date teased

The flagship plasma Panasonic TX-P60ZT60 will be released “around May” this year, according to Head of the Panasonic TV Division, Fabrice Estornel.

Costing around £4000, Estornel confirmed the Panasonic TX-P60ZT60 will be a limited edition and will only appear as a 60-inch model for UK consumers. Rumours had suggested there would also be a 65-inch model available.

It was also revealed that the display will ship with a premium booklet signed by the lead engineer, complete with unique serial number. The Panasonic TX-P60ZT60 will also feature a gold-plated plaque on the rear and limited edition branding when the TV is switched on as part of the model’s exclusivity.

Panasonic TX-P60ZT60 Features

The Panasonic TX-P60ZT60 features enhanced precision and contrast by removing the air gap layer between the front glass and plasma panel used by Panasonic’s other plasma TVs. This lack of air will also help off-axis viewing, which was reported to be causing a ghosting effect in other Panasonic plasmas.

Enjoying a dual-core processor and the new Panasonic Hexa processing engine, the Panasonic TX-P60ZT60 delivers crisp full 1080p HD pictures.

The Smart TV experience on the Panasonic TX-P60ZT60 has also been improved by a new my Home Screen feature, which allows different family members to customise the home screen with their preferred layout and content.

Picture quality in the Panasonic TX-P60ZT60 is vastly improved over last year’s high-end Panasonic VT50 model, including black level responses and extra contrast to help produce a more detailed picture with added depth.

Panasonic TX-P60ZT60 Price and Release Date

With a loose Panasonic TX-P60ZT60 release date hovering around the month of May, we have a little while to wait for this TV. And only the true plasma connoisseurs will be able to stomach the £4000 asked by the Panasonic TX-P60ZT60 price tag.

Would you be interesting in buying the Panasonic TX-P60ZT60 when it comes to market? Would you prefer to upgrade your plasma TV instead of buying into OLED or 4K technology? Let us know via the Trusted Reviews Facebook and Twitter pages or the comment boxes below.
