Pebble smartwatches are some of the finest around, but they lack one thing: the ability to make contactless payments. Not anymore.
Enter Pagaré’s smartstraps. They contain the NFC antenna necessary to make contactless payments.
Plenty of other smartwatches support contactless payments, including the Apple Watch. So this brings Pebble’s models on a par with them.
The straps are only compatible with the more recent Pebble models, however. They work with the Pebble Time, Pebble Time Steel and Pebble Time Round. So you’re out of luck if you own the original Pebble.
They’re quick to swap in from the original strap, and they come in a range of finishes, including white, black and red silicone, and black, red and stone leather.

They also double as a charging cable, thanks to the hidden USB port. Plug it in and you can juice up your Pebble smartwatch without needing the cable.
It’s already over halfway to its goal of $120,000 and still has 29 days to go. Pledge $69 (£48) and you can get one on an early bird. It will ship in July.
