Oura ring helps you sleep better and stay fresh
It’s amazing what a difference a good night’s sleep can make. This ring aims to help you kip better, so you’re at your best throughout the day.
It’s called Oura, and it learns about your activity and lifestyle habits and analyses how they affect your sleep.
While you snooze, Oura monitors your heart rate, respiration rate, body temperature and movement. While you’re awake, it keeps tabs on the duration and intensity of your activities, and how long you spend sitting. It then brings all this data together to identify patterns between your sleep quality and daily activities. It might not exactly be a revelation to hear that getting more exercise helps you sleep better, but seeing it on a graph might ram home the point and hopefully inspire you to become more active.
It also tells you when it’s best to exercise. If you sleep better when you work out first thing in the morning, it probably makes sense to do so, rather than last thing at night.
The ring is scratchproof and waterproof, and it looks quite subtle. It certainly doesn’t look like a piece of technology.

You can even choose to share your sleep data with sleep researchers from around the world. If you do, you’ll contribute to their research into what helps us sleep.
It’s passed its funding goal and will ship in November.
