OnePlus starts selling phones through Amazon UK
OnePlus has started selling its phones on Amazon, opening its range to millions of potential new customers.
The trouble with OnePlus phones in the past, as you might have heard, is that they used to be a pig to actually buy. You could only get them through the Chinese manufacturer’s website, and only then in certain windows or by jumping through certain hoops.
That’s how it used to be. OnePlus has been making great efforts to make its phones more available to the masses, and the latest move is to offer them through the world’s biggest online retailer.

British smartphone shoppers can now pick up the OnePlus 2 through Amazon UK. Of course, third party sellers have been offering the phone in this way for some time, but this time the seller is OnePlus itself.
As the tweet points out, it means you’ll be able to order a OnePlus phone and have it delivered within an hour – if you live in a designated Amazon Prime Now area, of course.

OnePlus is promising that in addition to the OnePlus 2, the OnePlus X will be made available through Amazon UK soon. Our North American cousins shouldn’t feel too left out either, as both phones will be making their way to Amazon US.

Of course, now might not be the best time to buy a new OnePlus phone. The OnePlus 3 is due some time this month, with new and improved components like a Snapdragon 820 CPU, an improved 16-megapixel camera, and NFC.
Even if you don’t fancy splashing out on this new model, its release will surely see the OnePlus 2 receiving a healthy price cut – and that should include this new Amazon listing. Watch this space.
